Therapy for Teens in Brooklyn, NY
Adolescence brings big changes in relationships, identity, school, and family life. I work with adolescents around anxiety and depression, dating and relationships, self-esteem, family dynamics, identity, academic stress, and transitions related to school and family life.
How I work with teens
My approach is warm, collaborative, and psychodynamic-based. Together, we explore both what is happening in your teen's life now and the experiences and relationships that have shaped how they relate to themselves and others. Therapy can help teens recognize patterns that may no longer be serving them, better understand their emotional experience, and develop new ways of approaching relationships, decisions, and challenges.
For parents
If you are thinking about therapy for your teen, a brief phone consultation is a good first step. You can tell me what is going on, ask any questions about how sessions work, and see whether I might be a good fit.
In person and online
I see adolescents in person at 26 Court Street in Brooklyn and online in New York, California, Massachusetts, and Vermont.
